Share a model with your other programs

Share the model on your computer from anywhere: your phone, your box or a friend. A tunnel gives it an address on the internet, behind a password: on Link's relay, with an account on a plan, or on a relay of your own.

Share one from anywhere

lnk model share opens the tunnel, and anyone with the password calls the model at its address.

lnk model share --model qwen3 --name qwen --auth
curl -N -u friend:secret https://qwen.<user>.<domain>/v1/chat/completions \
  -H 'content-type: application/json' \
  -d '{"model":"qwen3","stream":true,"messages":[{"role":"user","content":"hi"}]}'

Its address

<user> is your username and <domain> the relay's: lnk model share prints the whole address. Tokens stream as they're generated, and the URL in a browser shows ready-to-run commands.

What it takes

If the model isn't installed, lnk model share offers to install it. As lnk model serve does, it takes --model and --upstream, and it adds lnk tunnel open's flags (Tunnel).

Without a tunnel

A release of Link without the tunnel plugin can't share a model, and lnk model share says so plainly rather than offering to install it. lnk model serve still serves it to the programs on this computer.

Choose who can use it

With --auth, only whoever has the password can use the model. Without it, anyone with the URL can, which costs your computer's time and power.

--auth, not --account

Use --auth rather than --account, because programs can't sign in through --account. Tunnels has more ways to let people in, and Security what a shared model exposes.

Stop sharing

The tunnel stays open until you stop lnk model share with Ctrl-C, and then its URL stops answering. lnk tunnel list lists the tunnels open on all your computers.
