What to do when Codex doesn't install, start or answer (Codex).

"Codex reaches an OpenAI or OpenRouter model, or one on this machine"

The agent's model is another hosted provider's, which Codex can't use. Start the agent with an OpenAI model, or switch it to another harness with lnk agent use --harness link.

"the Node Link downloaded isn't the one it pins"

A bad download: the Node it fetched doesn't match the SHA-256 in its source. Nothing ran, so try again later.

"Codex isn't installed"

Its install didn't finish. lnk agent use --harness codex installs it again, and lnk agent logs --follow shows what npm said.
